Reimbursement Specialist

Job Summary

Empowering the mission of transformative cancer care, the full-time remote Reimbursement Specialist will manage the insurance billing life cycle, ensuring accurate and timely reimbursement through tasks such as verifying patient insurance coverage, submitting claims, and following up on accounts receivable.

Key responsibilities

• Researching and monitoring billing issues, trends, and potential risks
• Reviewing and ensuring accurate submission of claims with all pre-claim requirements
• Providing administrative support, including data entry and record-keeping, while navigating payer portals for claim statuses

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; associate's or bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred
• 2+ years of experience in medical billing, insurance claims, or revenue cycle operations
• Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and healthcare privacy regulations
• Experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
• Knowledge of payer guidelines and familiarity with ICD and HCPCS/CPT coding preferred
