Reimbursement Specialist

Job Summary

Engaging with patients through various communication channels, the full-time Reimbursement Specialist will resolve billing inquiries, support account collections, and review insurance coverage for genetic testing in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Resolve billing-related inquiries from patients, providers, and internal customers through inbound calls and other communication methods
• Research and reconcile aged accounts, processing adjustments and documenting activities appropriately
• Participate in Quality Assurance plans while ensuring compliance with CLIA and HIPAA regulations

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required
• 1+ years of experience in customer service or call center, preferably in medical billing or health insurance
• Insurance billing experience with knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding preferred
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
