Reimbursement Specialist

Job Summary

To support a growing team, the full-time remote Reimbursement Specialist will manage the insurance billing life cycle, ensuring accurate and timely reimbursement by verifying patient insurance coverage, submitting claims, and performing follow-ups.

Key responsibilities

• Researching and monitoring billing issues, trends, and potential risks
• Reviewing and ensuring accurate claim submissions and tracking their status
• Providing administrative support, including data entry and updating record-keeping systems

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; associate's or bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred
• 2+ years of experience in medical billing, insurance claims, or revenue cycle operations
• Experience with Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel
• Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and healthcare privacy regulations
• Experience with payer portals and claim tracking systems
