Reimbursement Specialist

Job Summary

Ensuring accurate and compliant reimbursement processes, the full-time Reimbursement Specialist will manage claims review, resolve billing discrepancies, and maintain HIPAA compliance while working in a healthcare environment.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and maintain the reimbursement program to ensure compliance with payment rules and regulations
• Review claims and authorizations to ensure accurate submissions and resolve billing discrepancies with insurance companies
• Follow up on claims in a timely manner to minimize accounts receivable and ensure proper reimbursement

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2-3 years of experience in medical billing required
• Background in the healthcare industry is essential
• Familiarity with Brightree and/or DME preferred
• Knowledge of insurance requirements and ability to assess medical justification for reimbursement
