Job Summary
To support the annual reverification season, the remote, fixed-term Sr. Reimbursement Specialist will manage benefit investigations, verify insurance benefits, and coordinate patient therapy initiation while ensuring high-quality customer service and reimbursement processes.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct benefit investigations and submit prior authorizations as required by payers
- Accurately maintain client database and monitor outstanding items on each case file
- Participate in conference calls with client representatives and physicians regarding case statuses and therapy initiation
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience
- 4 - 6 years' experience in the insurance, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical industries, with a focus on customer service and reimbursement
- Proficiency in MS Office applications; database experience is a plus
- Knowledge of third-party billing, coding, medical terminology, and prior authorizations preferred
- Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
