Reimbursement Specialist

Job Summary

To support a growing healthcare team, the full-time remote Reimbursement Specialist will manage patient insurance verification, reimbursement processes, and communication with clinical teams regarding chemotherapy and adjunctive infusion patients.

Key responsibilities:

• Review and confirm patient insurance benefits, determine patient responsibilities, and communicate findings with clinical teams and patients
• Research and resolve claim rejections, monitor appealed claims, and communicate with insurance providers to ensure proper payment
• Assist patients in navigating oncology-specific assistance programs and manage financial inquiries related to billing and insurance coverage

Required qualifications:

• High school graduate with strong mathematical skills
• Two years of experience in insurance verification, claim adjudication, or medical office billing
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-9, and CPT coding preferred
• Understanding of insurance policies and procedures preferred
