Reinsurance Accounting Manager
Job Summary
Overseeing a team dedicated to delivering accurate financial information, the full-time Manager, Reinsurance Accounting will manage monthly and quarterly reinsurance closes, review settlement calculations, and implement process improvements, working in a hybrid environment based in Houston, TX.
Key responsibilities
- Complete monthly and quarterly reinsurance accounting closes accurately and on time
- Review reinsurance cession calculations and manage financial statement disclosures
- Identify and develop process improvements while maintaining an effective control environment
Required qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the insurance industry with complex reinsurance treaties
- Experience in process improvements and automation
- Familiarity with financial systems, particularly SAP and BPC
- Proficiency in data tools, including Excel, Word, PowerBI, and Alteryx
- Ability to collaborate effectively with various levels of staff
