Reinsurance Placement Consultant

Job Summary

Leading the execution of complex ceded reinsurance placements, the full-time remote Principal Reinsurance Placement Consultant will collaborate with various stakeholders to develop underwriting submissions, analyze data, and provide technical expertise throughout the reinsurance placement process.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end execution of complex ceded reinsurance placements, including treaty and facultative placements
• Collect, validate, and analyze underwriting submission data to support reinsurance purchasing decisions
• Serve as a primary point of contact with reinsurance brokers and reinsurers, providing recommendations on placement strategy and structure

Required qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of property and casualty insurance and ceded reinsurance, including treaty and facultative structures
• Demonstrated experience managing large, complex projects related to reinsurance placements
• Strong understanding of reinsurance placement processes and contract structures
• Advanced analytical capabilities, including experience with exposure data and catastrophe model output
• Ability to communicate complex reinsurance information effectively to technical and executive audiences
