Release Manager - Virginia
Job Summary
To support a mission-critical application modernization program for a Department of War customer, the full-time Release Manager - Virginia will coordinate software releases, manage configuration and change control, and ensure operational continuity across production applications in a hybrid work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain the customer-approved release calendar for existing applications and the modernization platform
- Coordinate change control activities and rollback plans to support reliable software releases
- Manage software versioning, release notes, and milestone reporting associated with each release
Required qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in software release management or configuration management for enterprise applications, including federal programs
- Experience with GitLab or comparable version control and repository management tools
- Knowledge of semantic versioning practices and software release documentation
- Experience working with change control boards (CCBs) and established change management processes
- U.S. citizenship required; eligibility for obtaining a DoW security clearance
