Remote CDM Specialist
Job Summary
To support healthcare revenue cycle operations, an experienced Remote CDM Specialist will manage and maintain the Charge Description Master (CDM), ensuring accurate billing and compliance in a fully remote contract role.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the Charge Description Master (CDM) for accurate billing and regulatory compliance
- Support timely charge capture across hospital departments and collaborate with providers on billing practices
- Analyze revenue data to resolve discrepancies, perform CDM audits, and identify process improvement opportunities
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Finance, Business, or related field preferred (equivalent experience considered)
- 3-5+ years of experience in healthcare finance, revenue cycle, or CDM maintenance required
- Coding certification required (CPC, CCS, or equivalent)
- Experience with EPIC and Craneware required
- Strong knowledge of CPT/HCPCS coding, revenue codes, and billing systems
