Remote Coder Abstractor

Job Summary

A non-profit hospital and wellness care company has an open position for a Remote Coder Abstractor.

Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:

• Work closely with the Coding Analyst, Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialists and the Regional Coding Operations Coordinator
• Code various patient types
• Work to achieve or exceed the established Accounts Receivable goals for the Department

Must meet the following requirements for consideration:

• Certification as a Registered Health Information Technologist (RHIT), Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS)
• One to three years’ previous experience using ICD10-CM, ICD10 PCS and CPT-4 coding systems
• Ability to work closely with the Coding Analyst, Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialists and the Regional Coding Operations Coordinator
• Ability to code various patient types
• Ability to work to achieve or exceed the established Accounts Receivable goals for the Department
• Ability to meet productivity and quality standards
