Job Summary

Detail-driven and strategic, the part-time Copy Editor will elevate daily digital content for a premier sports and entertainment publication by executing rigorous line editing, managing digital asset publishing, and collaborating with an elite editorial team remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Execute rigorous line editing and structural review across daily editorial pieces and social content
• Orchestrate continuous copy flow by collaborating with senior editors, writers, and fact-checkers under tight deadlines
• Manage digital asset publishing using WordPress to build and maintain high-traffic web pages

Required qualifications

• 2+ years of professional copy editing experience in a daily digital publication or media environment
• Expert command of Chicago Manual of Style and AP Style with proven expertise in structural editing
• Demonstrated ability to perform under tight turnaround times in a high-volume publishing workflow
• Proficiency with CMS platforms (WordPress) and strong editorial judgment
• Remote work is preferred in EST and CST timezones, with possible weekend shifts
