Job Summary
An integrated dental plan system and benefits carrier is filling a position for a Remote Corporate Ventures Strategic and New Business Development Manager.
Must be able to:
- Lead end-to-end sourcing, structuring, negotiation and execution of investments, as well as post-close activities to support business development, governance and reporting
- Lead discussions and negotiations with start-up Founders/CEOs, and functional leaders and C-suite to drive our investments and build a strategic portfolio that can help company accelerate innovation both within the company and across the industry
- Lead key qualitative (strategic development, competitive landscaping, market analysis) and quantitative (financial modeling, portfolio reporting, valuation) analysis in support of deals and portfolio management
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Minimum of 5-7 years of related experience in Venture Capital, Corporate Development, Private Equity and/or Investment Banking.
- Bachelor’s degree
- 1+ years of supervisory/management experience
- Demonstrated end-to-end execution and management of complex deals which require exploring different deal structures, valuation evaluation for early stage companies, ownership dilution assessments, etc
- Proven strong analytical skills, perform financial diligence, valuation and broad quantitative analyses and familiarity with accounting and key operational metrics
- Ability to create and present investment decks, models, and governance and investment performance reports to senior leadership and C-suite investment committee
