Job Summary
Serving as a direct contact for disaster survivors, the full-time Remote Customer Service Representative will assist callers with federal disaster assistance inquiries, provide information and referrals, and accurately enter data into FEMA systems while following established scripts.
Key responsibilities:
- Assist callers seeking federal disaster assistance, registration services, and referrals with empathy and professionalism
- Conduct scripted interviews to gather required information and provide accurate instructions based on FEMA guidelines
- Perform data entry and maintain readiness to receive calls during assigned production periods while adhering to quality and security standards
Required qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be a United States Citizen and at least 18 years of age
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to work in a Microsoft Windows environment
- Ability to accurately enter information while communicating with callers
- Successful completion of background investigation and FEMA-required training
