Remote FHA Claims Specialist

Job Summary

Working remotely on a full-time basis, the Loss Mitigation FHA Claims Specialist will prepare, file, and follow up on FHA home retention claims while ensuring compliance with investor and insurer guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file HUD claims accurately and timely according to guidelines
• Perform loan level reconciliations for claim proceeds and correct any identified errors
• Document all servicing actions and maintain the HUD audit file

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent work experience; some college preferred
• One to two years of mortgage servicing default experience preferred
• Previous FHA claims experience preferred
• Understanding of the loss mitigation and claims process
• Ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure and changing priorities
