Remote Hospital Medical Record Coder
Job Summary
A healthcare company is in need of a Remote Hospital Medical Record Coder.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Assigning accurate ICD-10 codes for appropriate DRG assignment, as well as ICD-10 PCS codes
- Managing field client account review requests and inquiries
- Adhering to AHIMA’s Ethical Standards of Coding at all times
Qualifications Include:
- Minimum of 2 years of hospital coding experience
- AHIMA or CPT Coding Certification (examples: CCS, CIC, COC)
- Hospital coding experience and familiarity with all aspects of the medical record
- Basic knowledge of Excel
