Job Summary

Detail-oriented and experienced, the full-time Remote Insurance Collector will work with insurance companies to resolve claims denials and non-payments, ensuring documentation is submitted and follow-up is conducted until payment is achieved.

Key responsibilities

• Determine the cause of claim denials or non-payments and initiate actions to resolve them
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of all insurance-related communications and actions taken
• Research accounts and verify insurance benefits through various channels to facilitate timely payments

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a healthcare revenue cycle environment focusing on insurance billing and collections
• Advanced knowledge of healthcare insurance, managed care, and reimbursement methodologies
• Familiarity with medical terminology and basic anatomy
• Effective interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly in both verbal and written forms
