Job Summary

Detail-oriented and experienced, the full-time Remote Insurance Collector will work with insurance companies to resolve claims denials or non-payments, initiate documentation actions, and maintain accurate records while working from home.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with insurance companies to investigate and resolve claims denials or non-payments
• Prepare and submit necessary documentation to facilitate claim resolution and follow up until payment is received
• Maintain clear documentation of all communications and account activities in the computerized collection system

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a healthcare revenue cycle environment focused on insurance billing and collections
• Advanced knowledge of healthcare insurance, including managed care and reimbursement methodologies
• Familiarity with medical terminology and basic anatomy
• Ability to work in a remote environment with specific technical requirements for internet connectivity
