Job Summary

Experienced in medical insurance verification, the full-time Remote Insurance Verification Specialist will verify patient insurance coverage and benefits, communicate with insurance plans, and ensure patients receive necessary medications while working from home.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify patient insurance coverage, benefits, and eligibility for prescription medications and healthcare services
• Contact commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, and specialty insurance plans to obtain accurate coverage information
• Handle inbound and outbound calls with patients, providers, pharmacies, and insurance carriers, while maintaining HIPAA compliance

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of recent Insurance Verification and Benefits Eligibility experience in a healthcare setting
• Strong understanding of health insurance verification and benefits investigation
• Experience communicating directly with insurance carriers to verify coverage and resolve benefit issues
• Ability to navigate multiple systems and applications simultaneously
• Dedicated, secure, and distraction-free home workspace with high-speed internet
