Remote Insurance Verification Specialist

Job Summary

To support patient access to medications, the full-time Remote Insurance Verification Specialist will verify insurance coverage, benefits eligibility, and conduct coverage research while working remotely from home.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify patient insurance coverage, benefits, and eligibility for prescription medications and healthcare services
• Contact insurance plans to obtain accurate coverage information and handle communications with patients and providers
• Document all account activity and maintain HIPAA compliance while meeting quality and productivity goals

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of recent Insurance Verification and Benefits Eligibility experience in a healthcare setting
• Strong understanding of health insurance verification and benefits investigation
• Experience communicating with insurance carriers to verify coverage and resolve issues
• Ability to navigate multiple systems and applications simultaneously
• Dedicated home workspace with high-speed internet and a hardwired modem connection
