Remote Lead Project Manager
Job Summary
To support the VA ESOM contract, the full-time Remote Lead Project Manager will provide full-lifecycle IT project management support, oversee a team of 22 Project Managers, and ensure adherence to PMP standards and VA procedures while working remotely within the United States.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct all phases of project management initiation, planning, execution, and closeout consistent with PMP standards and VA procedures
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), and deliverables-based project schedules
- Monitor project milestones and critical dates, identifying potential schedule jeopardy and developing resolutions
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business, or a related scientific/technical discipline
- 10+ years of program or project management experience managing IT-related projects
- PMP or equivalent project management certification
- Demonstrated experience leading and coordinating large project management teams in complex IT environments
- Demonstrated proficiency in project and life-cycle management methodologies
