Remote Lead SQL Server Database Administrator

Job Summary

An education technology company needs applicants for an opening for a Remote Lead SQL Server Database Administrator.

Core Responsibilities of this position include:

• Monitoring the overall health of our SQL Server infrastructure supported by our Network Operations Center team
• Developing SQL commands, stored procedures, and PowerShell scripts to automate administrative processes
• Being our subject matter expertise on all aspects of SQL Server including system capabilities

Position Requirements Include:

• 10+ years of Microsoft SQL Server database administration with 7+ years managing large, mission-critical production systems
• Hands-on experience with AWS including SQL Server hosted on EC2 and RDS
• Experience managing very large databases and knowledge of partitioned data storage
• Experience deploying, supporting, and optimizing SQL Server Clusters, SQL Replication, Service Broker, and SQL Agent
• Experience assessing and tuning SQL Server performance while considering hardware, storage, and network performance
• Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline
