Database Administrator
Job Summary
A company is looking for a Database Administrator to support enterprise-level database systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize database performance
- Administer database backups, recovery, and capacity planning
- Create and maintain scripts based on requirements while overseeing database operations
Required Qualifications:
- Post-secondary certificate, diploma, or degree in computer science or related field
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Database Administrator in an enterprise environment
- Extensive experience with RDBMS performance monitoring and tuning
- Operational knowledge of hosting technology in corporate data center environments
- Experience with Microsoft MS SQL Server and Sybase ASE
