Remote Math Tutor
Job Summary
To support student academic growth, the part-time Remote Math Tutor will manage a caseload of students, providing high-dosage, individualized math tutoring remotely while utilizing various educational platforms and resources.
Key responsibilities
- Provide math tutoring to assigned students during multiple class periods using Saga Connect and/or district platforms
- Prepare for tutoring sessions with curriculum resources provided by Saga Education and the school district
- Navigate and troubleshoot technology issues as they arise to ensure effective tutoring sessions
Required qualifications
- Must be a student at CUNY
- Eligibility for the Federal Work-Study program is required
- Must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma, GED, or above
- Access to reliable high-speed internet and personal computer technology with audio and visual capability is required
- Must have a quiet workspace suitable for tutoring and maintain an on-camera presence during sessions
