Remote Medical Assistant
Job Summary
To support quality outreach initiatives, the contract Remote Medical Assistant will make approximately 100 outbound patient calls daily, educate patients on preventive care measures, and document interactions in an EHR system while working Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Mountain Time.
Key responsibilities
- Make outbound patient calls to discuss quality and preventive care measures
- Document outreach attempts and patient responses accurately in the EHR system
- Schedule appointments and escalate clinical questions to the healthcare team as needed
Required qualifications
- Current and active Medical Assistant certification
- Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience
- Experience communicating with patients by phone in a professional manner
- Familiarity with Epic or another Electronic Health Record (EHR) system
