Job Summary

Detail-oriented and experienced, the full-time Remote Medical Insurance Collector will work with insurance companies to resolve claims denials and non-payments, ensuring a seamless interface for consumers while maintaining accurate records in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Work with insurance companies to determine the cause of denial or non-payment of claims and initiate necessary actions for resolution
• Follow up on claims until payment is received or all recourse is exhausted, maintaining compliance with company policies
• Research and analyze accounts to resolve obstacles to payment and verify insurance benefits through various methods

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a healthcare revenue cycle environment focused on insurance billing and collections
• Advanced knowledge of healthcare insurance, including managed care and commercial insurance carriers
• Understanding of medical terminology and basic anatomy
• Ability to communicate effectively regarding coding requirements and amendments
