Job Summary

Detail-oriented and experienced, the full-time Remote Medical Insurance Collector will work with insurance companies to resolve claim denials or non-payments, initiate necessary documentation, and follow up until payment is secured, all while working from home.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with insurance companies to identify and resolve causes of claim denials or non-payments
• Prepare and submit required documentation to facilitate claim resolution and maintain accurate records
• Conduct follow-ups until payment is received or all recourse is exhausted, ensuring compliance with company policies

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare revenue cycle environment, focusing on insurance billing and collections
• Advanced knowledge of healthcare insurance, including managed care and reimbursement methodologies
• Familiarity with medical terminology and basic anatomy
• Proficient in using various codes related to health insurance claims
