Job Summary

Detail-oriented and dedicated, the full-time Remote Medical Insurance Verification Specialist will verify insurance coverage for prescription medications, assist patients with obtaining benefits information, and manage communications with patients and insurance companies from a remote location.

Key responsibilities

• Verify insurance coverage for prescription medications and assist patients with benefits information
• Make inbound and outbound calls to patients, guarantors, payors, and insurance companies
• Maintain accurate records and document updates while adhering to HIPAA regulations and company compliance standards

Required qualifications

• At least 1 year of recent medical insurance verification or benefits experience
• Knowledge of prior authorization and claims processes
• Must have a quiet, secure home workspace
• High-speed internet with hard-wired modem access (no hotspots accepted)
• Computer proficiency with the ability to learn new software and navigate multiple screens
