Remote Medical Insurance Specialist

Job Summary

To support patients in accessing their medications, the full-time Remote Medical Insurance Verification Specialist will verify insurance coverage, assist with benefits information, and communicate with patients and insurance companies while working from home.

Key responsibilities

• Verify insurance coverage for prescription medications and assist patients in obtaining benefits information
• Conduct inbound and outbound calls to patients and insurance companies on behalf of patients
• Maintain accurate records and follow HIPAA regulations while meeting call center performance metrics

Required qualifications

• At least 1 year of recent medical insurance verification or benefits experience is required
• Knowledge of prior authorization, claims, and HIPAA regulations is essential
• Must have a quiet, secure location to work from home
• High-speed internet with hard-wired modem access is mandatory
• Computer proficiency with the ability to learn new software and navigate multiple screens
