Job Summary

To support patient access to prescribed medications, the full-time Remote Medical Insurance Verification Specialist will verify insurance coverage, assist patients with benefits information, and conduct calls with various stakeholders while working remotely from Texas.

Key responsibilities

• Verify insurance coverage for prescription medications and assist patients in obtaining medication benefits
• Make inbound and outbound calls to patients, insurance companies, and other relevant parties
• Maintain accurate records and documentation while adhering to HIPAA regulations and performance metrics

Required qualifications

• At least 1 year of recent experience in medical insurance verification or benefits
• Knowledge of prior authorization and claims processes, along with HIPAA regulations
• Must have a secure and quiet home workspace
• High-speed internet with hard-wired modem access (no hotspots accepted)
• Computer proficiency with the ability to learn new software and navigate multiple screens
