Remote Over Reader
Job Summary
Working remotely on a contract basis, the Over Reader will accurately review medical record abstractions performed by HEDIS abstraction staff, ensuring compliance with NCQA guidelines and BCBSIL training standards.
Key responsibilities
- Perform daily over-reads of medical record abstractions and provide feedback on errors identified
- Utilize software applications to enter data and manage chase statuses related to HEDIS operations
- Collaborate with the HEDIS Coordinator and QI Specialists to discuss HEDIS efforts and resolve open issues
Required qualifications
- Clinical experience in a healthcare setting
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Data entry and typing experience
- Proficiency in PC applications including Word, Excel, and Lotus Notes
- Auditing experience is preferred
