Job Summary
To support a growing clinical team, the contract-to-hire Remote Prior Authorization Pharmacist will review clinical criteria for prior authorization decisions, communicate with patients and prescribers, and ensure prescription accuracy while working remotely during set hours.
Key responsibilities
- Review and apply clinical criteria to complete prior authorization decisions per policy/procedure
- Communicate with patients and prescribers by phone/mail to resolve clinical questions
- Maintain quality and security standards, including controlled substances and hazardous waste processes
Required qualifications
- Active Pharmacist license in good standing in the state of residence
- High School Diploma/GED (verifiable)
- Ability to meet remote work requirements, including high-speed internet and a dedicated workspace
- Reliable work history with minimal unexplained gaps or frequent short tenures
