Remote Senior Data Engineer
Job Summary
A software development company needs applicants for an opening for a Remote Senior Data Engineer.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Working on their green-tech big data platform
- Designing and implementing ETL processes and data storage and retrieval solutions within AWS
- Using tools such as Apache Spark, Apache Kafka, and Redshift
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Knowledge of developing RESTful APIs
- Experience developing with Python and Django/Flask
- Experience with PostGIS, GIS, or any geospatial related tools
- Experience with relevant cloud AWS services such as (AWS Glue, AWS Data Pipeline, Amazon S3, Amazon Redshift, Amazon EMR, Amazon Athena etc.)
- 3+ years of data engineering experience using Python, Apache Spark, or Apache Kafka
- Deep understanding of ETL processes and tools
