Job Summary

A software development company needs applicants for an opening for a Remote Senior Data Engineer.

Core Responsibilities of this position include:

  • Working on their green-tech big data platform
  • Designing and implementing ETL processes and data storage and retrieval solutions within AWS
  • Using tools such as Apache Spark, Apache Kafka, and Redshift

Applicants must meet the following qualifications:

  • Knowledge of developing RESTful APIs
  • Experience developing with Python and Django/Flask
  • Experience with PostGIS, GIS, or any geospatial related tools
  • Experience with relevant cloud AWS services such as (AWS Glue, AWS Data Pipeline, Amazon S3, Amazon Redshift, Amazon EMR, Amazon Athena etc.)
  • 3+ years of data engineering experience using Python, Apache Spark, or Apache Kafka
  • Deep understanding of ETL processes and tools
