Remote Senior Java Developer
Job Summary
A company building and delivering quality IT systems and programs needs applicants for an opening for a Remote Senior Java Developer.
Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Follow VIP OI&T Delivery framework and overarching VA guidance
- Use POLARIS calendaring tool, VIP Request portal, and ServiceNow
- Design and code application components in an Agile environment utilizing a test-driven development approach
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- 8 years of experience as a software developer or software engineer
- Bachelors' Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or other related field; or additional 8 years of experience
- Excellent experience with Java
- Excellent experience completing one or more full release project life cycles
- Excellent experience with Java web applications using Spring MVC frameworks, JavaServer Faces, Struts, and/or Hibernate
- Excellent knowledge of architecture styles and APIs, including SOAP, REST, RPC
- Excellent experience with static code analysis and bug detection tools
