Job Summary

A company building and delivering quality IT systems and programs needs applicants for an opening for a Remote Senior Java Developer.

Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:

  • Follow VIP OI&T Delivery framework and overarching VA guidance
  • Use POLARIS calendaring tool, VIP Request portal, and ServiceNow
  • Design and code application components in an Agile environment utilizing a test-driven development approach

Applicants must meet the following qualifications:

  • 8 years of experience as a software developer or software engineer
  • Bachelors' Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or other related field; or additional 8 years of experience
  • Excellent experience with Java
  • Excellent experience completing one or more full release project life cycles
  • Excellent experience with Java web applications using Spring MVC frameworks, JavaServer Faces, Struts, and/or Hibernate
  • Excellent knowledge of architecture styles and APIs, including SOAP, REST, RPC
  • Excellent experience with static code analysis and bug detection tools
