Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Managing a team of associate editors, copywriters, and reporters, holding them accountable to deadlines
- Overseeing the writing and editing of stories on our nonprofit health news site
- Assisting the Editor-in-chief in planning and coordinating editorial calendars for multiple health campaigns
Skills and Requirements Include:
- Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, or related field
- Minimum five years editing experience
- Minimum two years experience managing a team of writers
- Knowledge of SEO, social media best practices, and CMS experience
- Outstanding communication skills
- Ability in copywriting, editing, and researching
