Job Summary
Seeking a mid-to-senior level Remote Software Engineer to design and build backend services using TypeScript and NestJS in a full-time capacity, focusing on scalable microservices and API evolution while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend microservices deployed via AWS ECS, ensuring scalability and adherence to best practices
- Design and implement secure, efficient RESTful APIs for client teams, documenting processes thoroughly
- Migrate legacy serverless functions to containerized services, enhancing performance and maintainability
Required qualifications
- 4+ years of professional software engineering experience in cloud environments
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript and Node.js, with experience in NestJS or similar frameworks
- Solid knowledge of AWS services and architecture, particularly in deploying containerized applications
- Proven experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs with a focus on security and performance
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, as well as CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code tools
