Remote Systems Engineer
Job Summary
Managing core tooling systems and processes, the full-time Remote Systems Engineer 3 will optimize monitoring, patching, logging, and configuration management while participating in projects as a lead engineer and automation resource using Python and PowerShell.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor Slack chats and provide updates and solutions for Internal Infrastructure Projects Team (IIP)
- Perform day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of core business systems while resolving tickets in the IIP DBOSS queue
- Manage complex projects and provide scripting support to assist with project tasks
Required qualifications
- Strong Linux/Unix administration experience
- Experience in at least two of the following: Patching, Monitoring, Log management, Configuration Management, Document Management
- Scripting experience, including Python and PowerShell
- Familiarity with Ansible, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines
- Kubernetes experience is a plus
