Job Summary
Supporting faculty Principal Investigators, the full-time Research Administrator 2 will manage pre-award activities for research proposals, ensuring compliance with sponsor requirements while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation and submission of research proposals, ensuring completeness and compliance with guidelines
- Develop and finalize project budgets, providing necessary budget justifications and managing post-award compliance
- Act as a liaison between principal investigators, the Office of Sponsored Research, and other departments, responding to sponsor inquiries and facilitating collaboration
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and three years of relevant job experience or a combination of education and experience
- Experience with complex proposal preparation in an academic setting
- Knowledge of sponsored project guidelines and the research regulatory environment
- Ability to complete Cardinal Research Administration Foundational Training (CRAFT) I and II within the first year in the role
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
