Research Analyst

Job Summary

Supporting research analysis and Early Warning activities, the full-time Research Analyst will conduct quantitative research on political violence trends and develop accessible analytic products for internal and external stakeholders in a fully remote capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct and contribute to research products that translate complex information into actionable analysis for BDI staff and partners
• Prepare and support quantitative analysis for ongoing research projects, including the Risk Index, and create clear visualizations of findings
• Collaborate with the Data and Tools team to support emerging research priorities and improve research methods and analytical products

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Political Science, Public Policy, Sociology, Applied Behavioral/Social Science, Statistics, or a related field
• 2-3+ years of experience in research, policy, community engagement, or a related role
• Strong interest in supporting civil society efforts to address political violence in the United States
• Experience conducting quantitative analysis and developing accessible visualizations
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced research environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
