Research and Learning Scientist

Job Summary

Driving impactful research on family-school partnerships, the full-time Research and Learning Scientist will manage studies to evaluate how TalkingPoints enhances student outcomes, support product development through learning science principles, and analyze data to inform strategic recommendations, all while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct research on at-home learning products and contribute to the broader research agenda
• Apply learning science and behavior-change principles to support product R&D and test effectiveness
• Design and execute mixed methods studies, managing quantitative and qualitative data analysis

Required qualifications

• PhD in education, learning sciences, developmental or educational psychology, or a related field
• 8+ years of applied research experience, including work in product, R&D, and with funders
• Expertise in learning science, particularly in literacy and/or math, and family engagement
• Proficiency in mixed methods design, measure validation, and communicating findings to non-research audiences
• Proficiency in R, working knowledge of SQL and/or Sigma, and experience with public education datasets
