Research Assistant
Job Summary
Supporting the OLaGA Research Team, the full-time remote Research Assistant will assist in research activities focused on obesity-related diseases, particularly gestational diabetes among pregnant women in the American Samoan population, including data collection and documentation maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting in the development of data collection tools and participant-facing materials
- Supporting recruitment efforts and conducting screening and informed consent procedures with participants
- Scheduling and communicating with participants, administering surveys, and collecting physical measurements
Required Qualifications
- Fluency in both Samoan and English
- Knowledge of public health and/or training in biology or social sciences
- Experience with data management software
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
- Familiarity with the American Samoa health system
