Research Billing Lead

Job Summary

To support efficient billing processes, the full-time Research Billing Lead will facilitate appropriate billing and reimbursement for research-related services, monitor accounts receivable, and coordinate with various departments, all while working remotely with occasional on-site requirements.

Key responsibilities:

• Monitor auditing of research requisitions to ensure proper billing and reimbursement
• Coordinate billing processes within the Health Services Division and identify inefficiencies
• Provide education and training on research billing regulations and compliance protocols

Required qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent with 4 years of healthcare billing experience, including 2 years of institutional billing experience, or 6 years of research-related operations experience
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• 2-4 years of data entry experience
• Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-9, and CPT coding preferred
• Proficiency in MS Office products and strong organizational skills
