Job Summary
Supporting the Old Dominion University Research Foundation's research administration systems, the full-time Research Data Analyst will independently develop data solutions, reports, and dashboards while working remotely to enhance decision-making and operational efficiency.
Key responsibilities
- Query and analyze research funding, proposal, award, and financial data to fulfill reporting needs
- Develop SQL-based reporting processes and transform data into visualizations and actionable insights
- Collaborate with staff and stakeholders to promote data quality and identify trends for process improvements
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, data analytics, business analytics, or a related field
- Working knowledge of relational databases and SQL
- Experience with data analysis, reporting, or data management
- Basic experience with data visualization or business intelligence tools
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
