Research Engineer for AI Systems

Job Summary

To shape the future of AI systems, the permanent Research Engineer for AI Systems will take ownership of data strategies for large-scale multimodal models, designing and building datasets while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build large scale multimodal datasets across image and video domains
• Run structured experiments to understand the impact of dataset composition on model performance
• Develop and maintain pipelines for synthetic data generation, curation, and quality control

Required qualifications

• Strong commercial experience with large scale machine learning or foundation models
• Hands-on expertise with multimodal data, particularly in image or video systems
• Deep understanding of dataset design, curation, and evaluation in relation to model performance
• Experience across the full machine learning lifecycle, including training and experimentation
• Proficiency in frameworks such as PyTorch or JAX and distributed compute tools
