Research Engineer in Verification

Job Summary

Driving advancements in Zero-Knowledge Verification, the full-time remote Research Engineer in Verification will focus on reducing proving costs, enhancing verification mechanisms for AI systems, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support international research initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and optimize proof systems to demonstrate the validity of AI model outputs while minimizing computational costs
• Collaborate with hardware-security and systems colleagues to align verification processes with real-world applications
• Publish findings and engage with the research community to ensure transparency and validation of developed protocols

Required qualifications

• Experience with modern proof systems (e.g., Halo2, Plonky3, STARK-based stacks) or deep knowledge in GPU and ML systems
• Strong understanding of soundness in cryptographic systems and adversarial reasoning
• Proficiency in coding and willingness to engage in rigorous testing and validation processes
• Ability to work in ambiguous environments and contribute to problem definition and resolution
• Published work in applied cryptography, verifiable computation, or succinct proofs is a plus
