Job Summary
Working remotely on a part-time basis, the Research Financial Analyst will perform monthly expense analysis for research activities within the Cancer Research department, develop action plans for variances, support budget development, and manage invoicing and contract negotiations.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct monthly research financial oversight and collaborate with investigators and research management on identified variances
- Support budget development and negotiate contracts with external funding agencies
- Provide ad hoc financial reports and ensure compliance with research financial policies
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- Five years of experience in accounting
- Practical understanding of accounting and month-end closing cycles
- Exceptional experience with financial accounting systems and Microsoft Office Suite
