Research Grants Specialist

Job Summary

To support a major statewide clinical research initiative, the full-time Research Grants Specialist will manage and coordinate a portfolio of research, engineering, and education-related grants throughout the pre- and post-award lifecycle while working remotely.

Key responsibilities:

• Review and coordinate grant and contract proposals for compliance, assisting Principal Investigators with proposal development and submission
• Manage award setup, budget monitoring, financial reporting, and compliance activities post-award
• Serve as the central point of contact for grant portfolios, coordinating activities across various stakeholders and ensuring project deliverables are met

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in life sciences, public health, healthcare administration, business, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in grants administration or research administration, preferably in an academic medical center or healthcare system
• Strong understanding of the full research grant lifecycle, including proposal development and compliance
• Experience with federal and state funding agencies, including NIH and DARPA
• Proficiency with grant submission platforms and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
