Job Summary
Detail-oriented and curious, the full-time Research & Investigations Assistant will support research and investigations by managing documents obtained through FOIA requests, conducting online research, and maintaining investigative databases in a remote work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and manage documents and investigative materials according to established standard operating procedures
- Conduct research across various sources to uncover critical information related to government spending on animal experiments
- Enter, organize, and maintain data obtained through FOIA and public records investigations in tracking systems
Required Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience in research, investigations, journalism, or related fields
- Strong research skills with a natural curiosity and persistence in uncovering information
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy when handling government records
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and experience with Airtable is a plus
- Strong alignment with the mission to end taxpayer-funded animal experiments and an interest in public policy or animal protection
