Research Investigator

Job Summary

To support the Client Legal and Regulatory Support team, the full-time Research Investigator will conduct compliance reviews of customer complaints related to regulated money movement services, synthesizing findings into clear summaries while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct compliance reviews of customer complaints, analyzing account history, case notes, and transaction records to create accurate summaries
• Compile and organize research findings into structured documents for handoff to compliance or subpoena teams, ensuring adherence to legal requirements
• Collaborate with paralegals, attorneys, and cross-functional teams to gather information and resolve inquiries related to compliance investigations

Required qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in compliance, customer dispute resolution, or legal/investigative support, preferably in financial services or fintech
• Demonstrated ability to conduct thorough research across multiple systems and synthesize findings into clear deliverables
• Strong organizational skills with experience managing multiple active matters in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in navigating Salesforce and other internal platforms for document retrieval
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment in compliance investigations
