Job Summary
To support cutting-edge AI safety research, the full-time Research Scientist will own research projects from hypothesis formulation to publication, focusing on misalignment and loss-of-control risks in frontier-model ecosystems, all while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Own research projects end-to-end, including hypothesis formulation, experimental design, analysis, and publication
- Develop rigorous evaluations of risks related to misalignment and loss of control in AI systems
- Collaborate with research engineers to create robust, reproducible experiments and communicate findings to stakeholders
Required qualifications
- Track record of original research in AI safety or closely related fields
- Deep familiarity with frontier model behavior and elicitation methodology
- Ability to define and drive a research agenda to published output
- Strong technical writing skills
- Comfortable in an ambiguous, early-stage research environment
